On Friday 19th of May, we had a 5-a-side football tournament against the Metropolitan Police Officers and Forest Gate Youth Zone. Us kids had enough players for two teams so we split up evenly and we played against the staff too. Four different teams around the borough failed to beat the officers so we knew we had to beat them to become the champions.

We named our teams: Nike Pro, Officers, FG Staff and Youth Manz. The first match between Nike Pro and Officers was a good match- Nike Pro were winning but the Officers came back and ended the match on a draw score 4-4.

The second match Staff vs Youth Manz was also a excellent. Centre Manager Horace scored a cracker, hitting the crossbar and going in. Youth Manz were drawing with the FG Staff after that goal but then scored to make the match end with 2-1.

Youth Manz played again but against the Officers. This started with Youth Manz scoring the first goal but then a minute later the Officers scored. Youth Manz scored a cracker from a few steps from the half way line in the top left hand corner. Youth Manz had a throw in and was intercepted by the Officers and scored and made it 2-2.

Next Nike Pro played against the Staff. Nike Pro dominated the game with 3 goals without the FG Staff scoring and ended the score on a wicked 3-0.

The fifth match was between Nike Pro and Youth Manz. This match was an interesting match when Youth Manz scored the first goal then Nike Pro scored and finally scored with seconds on the clock to make the score 2-1.

The sixth match was the Officer vs Staff, this match depended on who won. If the Officers win they would go in the finals against Nike Pro but if Staff win then Youth Manz would go in the finals so Youth Manz were cheering loudly on the sidelines. FG Staff battered Officers 5-0 which put Youth Manz in the finals.

The final was Nike Pro vs Youth Manz. This was crucial between two teams, which was a brilliant match that ended 2-0 to Youth Manz, which made them the winners!!! At the end of the day everyone turned out to be winning as we all had a great time whether it's winning or losing in football but the bigger picture, friendship and team work made it a day never to be forgotten.
